Bristol City have been told by Egyptian Champions Al-Ahly that they will need to pay up front or lose out on Emad Meteb.
Meteb is considered to be top of Gary Johnson's list this summer as City prepare to strengthen the somewhat disappointing strike force of last term. The club had offered £1.5 million in three separate payments but Al-Ahly have declared that they won't be agreeing on those terms.
Ahmed Al-Rifai, who is working between the clubs on the deal, told FilGoal: "Ahly want to receive the full transfer fee immediately."
The two times African Cup of Nations winner has scored 22 goals in 47 games for his country, but only hit 5 goals for his club last campaign. FC Saturn of Russia almost got the striker in March however the deal collapsed due to disagreements.
