Gary Johnson tonight takes his team to Yeovil Town for their first match back in England after the tour of Portugal.
Last season the two sides played out a friendly 2-2 draw at Ashton Gate as Lee Trundle played his first game in the red shirt, and scored, but tonight the venue changes as Johnson, and a number of players, return to a former home.
Since Gary Johnson left Yeovil Town to become the new boss of Bristol City in September 2005 he has recruited a number of his old employee's in order to get City where they are now.
Lee Johnson, Michael McIndoe and Chris Weale, who could all feature tonight, have since re-united with Gary Johnson after successful stints under the former Latvian boss. Phil Jevons also signed up for City but left last January for Huddersfield after falling out of the first team plans.
Liam Fontaine was once a loanee at Huish Park and has since once again found himself working under Johnson, and new signing Gavin Williams was a star player for Gary at Yeovil - earning him a move to West Ham - but it is unlikely he will play any part tonight.
The game kicks off at 7.45pm and City fans will be standing on the Corpse Road Terrace, see www.bcfc.co.uk for ticket details.
