It seems that Richard Keogh may well eventually be leaving City after a year of speculation caused by a contract disagreement.
Southend United manager Steve Tilson confirmed his interest in the former Rep. of Ireland U21's international. The centre-back was on loan at 3 League One clubs last season, Huddersfield, Carlisle and Cheltenham, and was very close to signing for Huddersfield, albeit a breakdown in contract negotiations.
Steve Tilson today told the Southend Echo "Richard is someone we have enquired about signing, That's as far as it's gone so far and we're waiting for Bristol City to get back to us with more news.
"It's very early days, but he would be a good signing for us."
